Dr. KC Yarborough - Managing Slander and Defamation in a Competitive Business

Dr. KC Yarborough has been in business for many years and has personally experienced slander and defamation. That is not an uncommon reality for individuals who have private companies that are not publically traded. Most private investment firms do not make themselves accessible to the general public and the reasons are not necessarily sinister in nature. These companies deal with investors who are operating at a level that the general public is not familiar with. There are protocols and terminologies that these high-level investors are fluent with, which makes business mergers, acquisitions and investments very specialized.

Dr. KC Yarborough is a shrewd investor with excellent negotiation skills. He is also an unorthodox businessman that tries to give people an advantage that they ordinarily would never have. This has been an invaluable gift for many individuals; however, there have been situations where he wishes he’d never offered to help. There can be many negatives with dealing with individuals who are not acquainted with government protocols in trade. Sometimes people want a quick turnover and they will try to strong-arm and manipulate you to do things their way. Dr. Yarborough advises businesses and investors to never allow anyone to force your hand by threatening to defame your company or by slandering your name.

We are living in a time where people rely so heavily on what a person’s online profile is instead of getting a firsthand account of their character. That can be very harmful to individuals and to businesses. Dr. KC Yarborough has handled slander and defamation by moving forward despite the negativity. At the end of the day, the truth will surface and it is best to focus on your business success instead of chasing down every lie. In order to be successful in a competitive business it is important to resolves that there will be battles. You will have successes, failures, setbacks and victories.

Dr. KC Yarborough On His Passion For Music

It has been said that music is a universal language. Music has the ability to bridge the gap and causes people to come together in harmony. It has been scientifically proven that there is a link between the arts of music and how the human brain functions. Music is also an enormous tool for soothing stress and helping individuals in high-level industries to decompress. Dr. KC Yarborough has been a lover of music ever since he was a child. He was not only a vocally gifted performer, but he had the ability to play several instruments. Yarborough feels a strong connection to music and appreciates many genres, such as Classical, R&B, Soul, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Smooth Jazz, Reggae, Pop, Funk, Symphony, Country and Country Pop. Scientists could postulate that this enjoyment of music is not only an emotional response to the sounds, but also a physiological response that occurs within his brain.

When we listen to music, our brains react in many ways. In fact, at least ten different parts of the brain are stimulated each time we hear a tune. Parts of the brain, such as the motor cortex help us to find the rhythm or beat of a song, while areas like the amygdala help to create our emotional reactions to the music that we hear. In addition, the sensory cortex allows us to work our tactile senses when playing an instrument, and the visual cortex allows us to read sheet music or appreciate a stage performance.

Of the many scientific findings that link brain activity to music exposure, the most common and recognized is the brain's ability to be more creative with the right type of musical background. This is not to say that creative people have to blast very loud music to get their imaginations to move. Actually, scientists believe that low ambient noises, which are subtle, are the best sounds to listen to when someone wants to be creative. Dr. KC Yarborough surrounds himself with music and uses the power of music to decompress from long hour days consumed with the demands of an international business. Music helps him to recuperate from the heavy stress and come up with creative and strategic business strategies.

Dr. KC Yarborough - Philanthropy Starts With the Individual

Dr. KC Yarborough believes that philanthropy starts at home, and is a concept that everyone should promote. Philanthropy, translated from the Greek is the love of humanity and the pursuit of strengthening and nurturing the human species. It is thought that philanthropic endeavors benefit both the benefactor as well as the beneficiary. Dr. Yarborough believes this to be very true, which is why he prefers to make strategic and responsible contributions. We are all interconnected and our decisions both good and bad have a profound impact on humanity and the planet.

Philosophically, philanthropy was initially viewed as the concept of benefiting each human, to therefore enhance the entire human race. The early teachings of Socrates and Plato were inherently philanthropic.  In their time, philanthropy was more of an educational philosophy than an actual financial act. It was believed that the act of being philanthropic was closely tied to a person having good ethics and sound moral judgment.

After many wars and socio-economic struggles leading up to the 17th century, philanthropy emerged in the form of benevolence from the wealthy ruling classes. Due to the kind acts that were presented to the common people in Europe, charitable organizations were formed to promote philanthropy. As time passed, being a philanthropist became fashionable and something to be bragged about.

Today, billions of dollars are donated to causes around the world in the form of monetary gifts. This form of philanthropy is far more modern than the concept's Greek roots. While some philanthropists decide to give large sums to a specific organization, others use their wealth to invest in a philanthropic pursuit.

Dr. KC Yarborough, through his personal donations and his work with KC Yarborough Worldwide, is becoming a respected philanthropist, endowing educational grants, investment opportunities for the underprivileged, and clean energy initiatives. Dr. Yarborough believes that everyone has the ability to be philanthropic regardless of your socio-economic status. The ability to see that we are all interconnected and deciding to show kindness and mercy is philanthropic.
